Nyko
have released the Xbox 360 Intercooler device that will allegedly
reduce the internal operating temperature of the 360 while prolonging
the consoles lifespan. The Intercooler 360 is a snap on cooling
attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360. Connecting the device
is said to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console
(according to Nyko). The Nyko Intercooler 360 is also said to give
"improved air flow throughout the 360 which allows the internal
circuitry to perform at cooler temperatures and last longer". The
'cool' (oh dear -Ed.) thing here is no internal modification of the
Xbox 360 are needed, just clip it on and you're good to go as it
features a pass through power connection that utilizes the existing
Xbox 360 power supply, thus negating the need for an extra AC adaptor.
The unit also powers on and off automatically with 360 and the
intercoolers small size will fit in tight spaces like entertainment
centers with your 360 displayed in either horizontal or vertical
format. The big question of noise is unmentioned by Nyko, so sadly
we'll have to wait until those reviews roll in, hopefully it won't
sound like a steam train. The device costs $19.99USD and is available

I'd get one, but really need too know if its louder than the 360 before i got one.
Is it noisey? I would most likely say yes. Adding three additional fans to it should most likely bring the decibles up a tad. Unless they are ultra slow/quiet fans. But for 20 bucks...i doubt it. Otherwise, if it is quiet enough that you cant here additional noise...then I'd probably get one.
I'd want to see how much of a difference it makes, temperature wise, may just be a marketing gimmik, cause if that the cause I'm gonna make a super duper intercooler with 6 fans!!! yeah baby!
I ordered one today should arrive monday but the noise doesn't really affect me since i have a 7.1 SSound JBL style i can't even hear myself think when playing but all i know is it does keep your system cooler they have up the specs chart on their site nyko.com see for your self plus it looks cool specially when your friends come over asking whats that
