Next Zune to have Xbox integration?

Job posting reveals Zune-Xbox integration - Image 1A job posting on Microsoft's website has revealed that there is some truth to the Xbox Zune rumors. According to the posting, Microsoft is looking for a designer for the Zune Device UI, the Zune PC Client, and the Zune Xbox.

It doesn't absolutely guarantee a game-platform Zune, but it does suggest that the next Zune will have Xbox 360 integration.

Now for those who didn't know - like me, since I don't own a Zune, like any sane person - Xbox Live and the Zune Marketplace both use Microsoft points.

Given that, it won't be that much of a leap to see these two devices get it on. It's not hard to imagine the Zune being able to download various media from the Xbox 360, much like the PSP's own integration features with the PS3.

Nice objectivity....apple fan-boy. You shouldn't bash the zune (or its users), it is the technologically superior product.

I actually like the Zune, but if they start integrating *****Box crap into it then I wont.

Maybe buy a Zune with more capacity? Like you have such done for your Apple products?

~~to see these two devices get it on. ~~

I was just watching Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay and right after I read that it was like "me and her are siblings; we get it on!" haha .. sorry

I actually really like my Zune.. I had an old iPod mini. I don't really like the scroll wheel or the touch screen stuff that's out .. Don't call me a fanboy =X I own a Wii, Mac, PC, 360, and I'll probably get a PS3 soon!! Oh, and I like that my Zune's heavy, even though if I drop it it'll shatter, I like the weight

» they HAVE to

Or the Zune will die slowly... Ipods I way cooler to anybody. And I have to say that I dislike M$...

Having Zune mixed with xbox would not really target the PSP or the DS, but it would help targetting the ipod touch with games.

Still, I wouldn't buy a zune anyway. I had my ipod for a long time, and it's gonna be the same for a long time to come...

Way back before the Zune was even released, they said you would have the ability to play XBLA games on the Zune, and in mid game, save it and pick up where you left off on your 360.....guess that didn't pan out.

There is also a problem with them integrating seemless contectivity between the zune and 360, ala psp and PS3....Since microsoft cheaped out and did not put wi-fi in every 360 (or any of them) how is the Zune going to seemlessly connect with the 360 ? Sure you could plug it in via USB, or use your router....but that is not seemless....you should be able to be in an empty room, with plugs and a TV then have the ability to plug in your console to power and a TV and have it interact with the device with nothing else having to be setup...

» Zune 360

If it has some nice compatibility with the 360 then I think I'll buy it since I lack a proper portable mp3 player(using PSP).
