New IP from Codemasters is called Bodycount |

The Official Xbox Magazine called it "the shooter that everybody asked for", referring to the new IP from Codemasters teased back in February. That very game will be on the cover of the April 2010 issue of OXM, this time described as "the ultimate shooter", is the game now known as Bodycount.

Unfortunately, the online end of OXM has taken the post down, but you can still check it out through this Google cache. The game is in development under Codemasters Guilford, with help from the guys that brought you Black, including Stuart Black.
Other than that, there's no info on how exactly Bodycount will define itself in a sea of first-person shooters.

Seriously, the only games Codemasters can publish well without compromising are racing games like "Dirt" and should just stick to that. This publisher is full of shit!

I'm not FPS fan ..but this article bring up some questions to FPS fans I would like to hear about:-
-Could you tell me what can bring more innovation in FPS?
- And what is "the shooter that everybody asked for"?
-Is it more graphics, impressive maps and more weapons and online features.. only?
- or more story driven?
(well, rarely we see FPS with decent story like Biosock.)
In My Humble Opinion, I think FPS genre is the hardest to innovate for...Because "hardcore" FPS fans are the most resistive to innovation by sticking to their classic way.
so , please I want to hear from you.

Cumbersome HUD, weapons with TMI (how often IRL does a rifle tell you that you only have 3 rounds left in the clip?) recycled stories, Point A to point B objectives
IDK, stumper really

Well actually Codemasters aren't making the game, they only publish it, so in essence all they could screw up is marketing.
The game is being made by the minds behind BLACK which was a decent shooter will little funding.
I don't personally like shooters but just read "OMGZ COCKMASTERS ARE MAKIN THIS /GAY" is disturbing and a stupid outlook at the gaming industry.
