Halo Movie - Image 1

Ok, so Hollywood didn't bite with the first Halo movie deal, with production going on and off for months (years, actually...), and eventually grounding to a halt. But that doesn't mean it was a bad idea to begin with, which is why Hollywood screenwriter Stuart Beattie - the guy who wrote the original Pirates of the Caribbean movie - is giving it another go.

Beattie gave the story a fresh new start, basing the script on the best selling novel, Halo: Fall of Reach, a 2001 science fiction novel by Eric Nylund. It's based on the Halo series, and acts as the prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. Of course, it also stars Master Chief.

The script caught the attention of some Hollywood people, and concept art has even been created by Kasra Farahani - who made the concept art for movies such as Spiderman 3 and Hancock - for a presentation to be made to Microsoft (that's one of them above). Will this script make the cut and actually go up on the silver screen? We can only hope.

Ok, I am glad to see that a script has been written for a possible Halo film. I know that in 2006 and 2007 a script was written by some relatively unknown writers and I was hoping that it wouldn't be used for the movie. Thank God it didn't. Stuart Beetie is a great screenwriter, and I trust him with the project.

This movie needs to be carefully done. Peter Jackson is the only director I trust with directing. Or Spielberg haha!

And please, don't turn Halo in a disney-themed film!
