Halo 3 by Bungie Studios - Image 1Good news for Halo 3 fans! According to the most recent Bungie's Weekly Update, the developers of Halo 3 are prepping up some downloadable content in the form of new maps.

The design and art teams are already deep in the process of creating said maps, and the Weekly Update had some info on three of them: Jodrell Bank, Moonbase Alpha, and John Carpenter's Prince of Dorkness. Do note that the above names are just tentative titles (but we hope that the third one retains its name on its official release).

The Jodrell Bank map is well suited for a Team Slayer game type with swords and snipers, while CTF and Assault fans will favor Moonbase Alpha. Those who want to have a nicely terrifying Halo 3 game may want to check out the Prince of Dorkness map, where darkness looms everywhere.

The maps are still being tested right now, so for the meantime you can check out its debug mode.

On a related note, Bungie also created an official thread dedicated to Halo 3 user-created game types and maps. Certainly a good resource for Halo 3 multiplayer fanatic which is not to be missed.

» Wrong?

Nope. That's the cover art for the regular edition. The Limited Edition and Legendary Edition have different cover art.
