Xbox Core SystemDue to the current struggle of Xbox 360 sales in Japan, Microsoft has announced a new Core Pack to be released for their market. They're going to cut its price down to 29,800 Yen (that's around $255). Well now, it seems that the unit's price is steadily going down!

Anyways, the Japanese 360 Core Pack will include the unit itself (of course), and two games: Ninety-Nine Nights and Project Gotham Racing 3. Powerhouse combo, huh? Also, a separate HD drive will also be sold for around $85. All this goodness available on November 2. Gosh. With all these price adjustments around the world, who knows what will happen next? Wonder what Christmas is going to be like this year!

This might sell. But why arent they doing this with the Premium?

Premium pack at 299 with the same games. BTW 29,800 yen is more like 298 dollars. You are just converting the numbers based on current foreign exchange prices. For example, if the dollar went up 100% it doesn't mean the price of the 360 would double in Japan. But if you look at what a 100 yen buys you there, you will notice that 100 yen is equivalent to a dollar. I have it when people do straight currency conversions since it leads to incorrect assumptions.
