Need For Speed: CarbonGood news, racing fans. The Need For Speed: Carbon demo is now ready and waiting for download at the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo is pretty big, weighing in at 1.06GB, and it contains three cars for you guys to play around with (Chevrolet Camaro SS, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Mitsubishi Lancer EVOIX MR-edition) You can use autosculpt on all three cars. As for the tracks and races, you get 3 of those as well: a circuit race against 5, a drift race, and a canyon duel.

Sadly, this demo is not available in the following Xbox Live regions: Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Singapore or Taiwan. For all you guys who are not in the aforementioned areas, check it out on the Marketplace.

Exactly what I meant to say. I think the graphics are nice and all, but the good old gameplay isnt there :(. And yes the customization I LOVE but the gameplay is bad so the customization doesn't justify to buy.

# Too bad my 360 is out for "repair"....Guest 2006-10-04 12:54
My 360 is being "repaired" right now so unfortunatly I can't try it. I am very suprized to see negitive comments though. I watched the walktrhu for the game and really really want it.

I thought the graphics looked better than NFSMW, I hated how the streets flickered (repeating fake reflection tiled and was hiccup not seamless), man i hope the streets dont flicker.

I neeeeeeeed my 360 back M$ ! Please hurry up and "fix" (replace) it soon for me! Plz plz hurry!

This game walktrhu looks so good i cant wait to play some cops and pursuits

# Yup... it's a Carbon.Guest 2006-10-04 15:00
Atleast in the problems department, Need For Speed Carbon is a carbon-copy of Most Wanted for the XBox360. It's got the same frame stutter. It's an issue that really annoys me in racing games (full auto had it too), even the screen tearing of MotoGP 06 is more acceptable.

The gameplay is more simulation feeling, which is kinda nice... but extremely difficult in the drift race mode. This game may be a rent at the most... or one that just sits on my GameAccess.com rental queue for a while. I want my Forza 2, GTR and DIRT: Colin McRae Offroad.

i really dont think the physics felt "simulation" i was thinking more like ridge racer with a little less responciveness. even test drive is more sim feeling and thats pretty arcadey itself

I don't like it at all it's way to arcady, when you steer it feels cheap, the graphics look just like most wanted just that they turned off the lights.

I do like the new modes they have through good idea.

But the steering feels so cheap

What a dissapointment!

I was soo looking forward to this, I loved NFS:MW it was the very last game I bought on my old Xbox before getting my 360. I downloaded the demo of the 360 version of Most Wanted and wasn't surprised to see that it was exactly the same but in HD. I was suprised to find that Carbon doesn't even look as good as Most Wanted.

LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR!

EA really need to stop making ps2 quality games for the 360.

This game has some frame rate issues. I liked Most Wanted better.

# waiting till finalGuest 2006-10-05 09:31
as far as the demo goes i didnt like the handling it had...all the cars drove like crap..expecially the camaro...although i dont think a camaro is suitable for this type of racing anyway...it didnt require much skill to drift as the previous games did .. i would hate to say that import tuner challenge in my opinion played better ..but ill have to wait till the final game comes out to judge since im sure that when your able to tune your car the steering and such should be fixed

I actually like the game it has a different feel to it kinda like the Tokyo Drift feel to it, I would also have to say that it is not a carbon copy of nfsmw nor do i feel that is looks or feels like nfsmw. But hey i will probly get flamed or what not from people who think they know everything, some like others some dont, but oh well im goin to get that is all the matters.
