NBA 2K6 Bug Causes Crib Point System To Go Crazy

If you have downloaded the update for NBA 2K6 for the Xbox 360, chances are you've been generously awarded with crib points for feats that you have not even accomplished (ex. players being awarded 50 crib points for scoring 100 points in the game).

While some gamers continue to endure the annoying crib point-awarding frenzy, some have found a way to get rid of it by playing with no downloaded rosters. It seemed to work for some, but still, it's just a temporary fix.

This has been going on for weeks now and there's still no proper fix. We hope that 2K Sport's silence is an indication that they are working on fixing the bug. Sure, we want all those crib points, but we want to get them 'cause we deserve them, not because the bug decides we should get them.

Yup

That's how the problem is. If you update, don't load an Online Roster or any roster other than the default one. Otherwise, you will earn all the acheivements pretty much in the 1st quarter. This problem has been here for a while. Still, its not anything noteworthy. Not that it was difficult before.

Bug filled game

I just bought a new sealed NBA 2K6 game. In about 10 attempted games only once have I made it past the first quarter without the game freezing. Still, I got 750 achievement points - all except the triple double achievement even though my stats weren't anything close to those required for the achievements. I returned the game and got another new copy. Same problem with the new disc as well. Truly unsatisfying to get achievements without even coming close to earning them. And to not be able to come close to finishing a game without the entire system freezing is frustrating. It doesn't give one much faith in the publisher for putting out such a buggie product.
