MS to Sony: "Wish you were here" |

According to MicrosoftÂ’s European Xbox VP Chris Lewis, Microsoft was apparently disappointed that Sony was a "no-show" in that region this Christmas. According to him, it would have been a good opportunity to finally place the two consoles side by side to see which one is truly better. He says thatThe lowlight of our Christmas was the lack of anything from our main next-generation competition. We were looking forward to some friendly rivalry and the chance to prove that games look and play better on Xbox 360 - but Sony didn't show!
All in all though, Lewis says that they are "very pleased with our Christmas performance" as they now have plenty of hardware in stock, good retail offers and a healthy library of game titles.
Hopefully, Sony will soon be able to come out and play, once it sets foot in Europe this March.

Sony knows it messed up. That can only mean they are going to try to redeem themselves in some way and it has to be big.
Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a huge seller as well (if it isn't already heading to the 360)
I don't know, at first I was pretty optimistic about the wii but the more I think about it, the more it just seems like it's for non-gamers. I got sick of tennis, I finished zelda...now my wii just sits under my tv collecting dust. I don't really need virtual console games and I can't even play any games online with the wii. On top of that, I have to hook up an extra DVD player to my television because the wii doesn't play DVD's.
The internet browser is pretty nifty though. I see Sony doing something big with the PS3 to get more fans (they realllllyyy need them), hopefully this will materialize soon. If not my blu-ray player will be collecting dust :(
