Aaron Greenberg, the director of product management for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, recently gave out quite a number of details about how the upcoming 360-exclusive downloadable content for Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) will boost their sales as well as a few thoughts on their competition.Greenberg made an interesting point saying that the industry is seasonal and that 70 percent of console sales will be coming in the second half of the year, fueled by the new Xbox 360 owners. He noted that since they are the only ones to offer exclusive episodes, their second half of the year will be really strong.
He also spoke about the strong 2008 line-up of Sony saying that the company is only delivering what they promised to release last year. He pointed out that: "We have been fighting SonyÂ’s promises from the day we entered the market."
He further expounded on this point by asking about all the things that Sony promised to give consumers such as PlayStation Home and Killzone:
Three years ago at E3 they showed what PS3 games would supposedly look like with the Killzone 2 video, that we are now learning will ship four years later. That means that we will have shipped Gears of War and Gears of War 2 before they can even get Killzone out the door.
Think back to GDC 2007 when Sony promised to leap ahead in online with the Sony Home unveil. Here we are two years later and multiple delays for a product that has appears to have little to no buzz.
Greenberg then proceeded to point out that the Xbox 360 has a lead of five million units over the PlayStation 3 and that he is confident that they will be increasing the lead further this year. Finally, he ended with some pretty strong words about Sony that pretty much summed up everything he had to say:
The days of Sony snowing the consumers and the press are over, I think the pressure is now really on them more than ever to deliver on all of these promises.

and he rests all his hopes on a 3rd party game gta4?
well if thats all you got going for you i really hope it pans out but no offence gta4 will not make xbox the best system and if thats their hopes they r truely joking themselves
