MS: 50% of Xbox 360 owners don't own Xbox1 |

After all this time, Microsoft's competitors in the gaming market have all been saying that the success of the Xbox 360 can be attributed to one main thing: the 24 million people who have previously bought the Xbox 1. However, MS now throws a wrench into that thread of thought by saying that, no, sorry, but "over half" of Xbox 360 owners never had an Xbox 1.
In a recent interview with Chris Satchell, he explains that they are seeking to expand their market, which is a view that Nintendo shares. "So there are lots of new people coming in, which kind of surprises you. What we're actually finding is that our customer set is broadening, which we think is important."
However, Satchell's remarks are still up for scrutiny as analysts have noted yet another discrepancy in the figures which Satchell presents.
So, just out of curiosity, did YOU own an Xbox 1...?

The Online community that XBL offers beats the other systems because what makes a great game is not just storyline anymore, but its replay value. With the 360 I was introduced to a whole new world of playing games with others and be able to talk trash at the same time.
It is a more versatile system than a ps3 as of now. However the ps3's whopping price tag is what will most likely sink it.

And then Sony released the PSP. I bought it. I played lots. The whole time I had it I couldn't help but feel like the system wasn't designed with the consumer in mind. With the UMD, refusal to put two analog sticks, unintuitive web browser, and poor battery life, the PSP felt more like a device Sony was pushing on gamers with an attitude of 'Love the PSP because we say so'. The PSP finally left me with the feeling that Sony's ego had grown to large and they have started to lose their way; so I sold it.
And then the XBox360 came out. When I finally had a chance to try it I was amazed. MS had listened to gamers and designed the perfect controller. MS listened to gamers and built the perfect online service. MS listened to gamers and kept the console affordable. The graphics were great, XBoxLive is perfect, developers couldn't stop lauding the development tools.
But I still didn't get one. I was still slightly a Sony fanboy and I was holding out on the PS3. It wasn't until I had to go through a year of reading about Sony's problems with the PS3 that I finally realized the PS3 is doomed. I went out and got my 360 and haven't ever been a happier gamer.
As for the PS3...Developers hate it. Consumers hate the price. Sony lost alot of my respect by choosing to reveal the SIXAXIS right after Nintendo revealed the Wii. Blu-Ray is prohibitively expensive, and by the time it will have a chance to catch on HD content will be streamable and downloadable. (Hell I just downloaded Superman Returns in HD on my XBox360 last night!) And then there's the scaling issues. The BlueTooth dropping issue. The less-than-stellar online service.
It started with the PSP and got worse with the PS3: Sony stopped listening to gamers. Thank you Microsoft for stepping in an giving us the 360. Now please make Windows Vista faster.

Now that said, I did get a 360 about a week after launch. Granted, it was originally to eBay, but I opted to keep it. Glad I did, to be honest.
Wii60 ftw.

Which is why Madden sells so well on it, right? Get a clue. Well, Madden sells well on all consoles, but you know what I'm getting at. PS2 fans are not smarter than Xbox fans, and you are a complete retard if you think otherwise
This all comes down to opinion, for me the Xbox (which I had two of) was a far superior console to the PS2 for many reasons. 1. was the much better controller for multiple game genres, like FPS which is one of my favorites. 2. (and one of the biggest) was the games. From Halo to Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Battlefront (which is best on Xbox) to Splinter Cell, the Xbox had a far better library of games to suit my tastes. I honestly have like seven PS2 games, three of them being GTA and three being MGS.
Thee are many more reasons, but I would exceed the character limit if I typed them all

$660 for Xbox 360
$1400 for PS3.
That is the price of next gen consoles.
Xbox is a homebrew's dream console. Its supports loads of emulators. NES? SNES? GBA, PSone? N64? All check. With Xbox Media Center, your Xbox becomes more than just a game console. You can stream music and movies from your computer and watch it on TV in the comfort of your couch.
You can even run Linux OS on it. Web browsing is made even better whe you connect a keyboard and mouse to your Xbox. It's like having another PC for a small price.
It's more than just a game console to me. That's why i'm keeping it and enjoying it.

I have a 360 also though. The Xbox 1 is now my media center and sometimes I play on the emulators, mostly N64 and SNES.

Anyway, no regrets of the previous playstation machines bought, but can't wait for PS3, too much problems.
Got a good deal on the X360, totally impressed with the controller, some of the games (Gears of War!) Looking forward to see a further expansion of this market share that MS got. Games lead the market, work on that Microsoft!
