Modern Warfare 2 is having its first ever Double XP weekend, so get ready to mark your calendars for it! Infinity Ward has made the official announcement via Twitter.

 

"Robert Bowling does the honors, tweeting, "Mark the calendars now! April 2nd - 5th marks the first Douple XP Weekend on #MW2 for #xboxlive worldwide. New Maps + Double XP = No sleep."

 

He sure got that "no sleep" part right.

IW is giving the map packs and double xp weekend to Xbox 360 first because they actually have to pay for their online services unlike the PS3 where it is free = less exclusives when it comes to online.
