While we're waiting for an update to Adam Thole's deal with Talismoon for his tilt-sensor mod for the Xbox 360 wireless controller, a similar projects has been announced by way of modder GreenGiant. Dubbed the "Xilt", this 360 controller mod is expected to have two versions: Xilt Advanced and Xilt Lite. As for the rest of the features indicated by GreenGiant:
  • Works with Wired and Wireless controllers
  • Only 7 wires needed
  • Install in 10-15 minutes
  • Easily Enable/Disable tilt mod without an ugly switch
  • Easily change tilt threshold in all four axis
  • USB Configurator for changing any settings
  • FW is upgradable (not end user)
  • Xilt Advanced: Full configuration of Tilt angle to Controller Axis direction
The Xilt is expected to be released within the last week of April (that would be next week). Until then, we advise readers to keep alert in case of further updates - either from GreenGiant or Adam regarding their corresponding tilt-sensor mods.

# Official tilt sensing will probably appear anywayAsciiSmoke 2007-04-18 22:31
Microsoft have been quoted as saying that they're watching how consumers take tilt sensing in the PS3 (understanding that the Wii demographic is a little different) they've said that if gamers really do want tilt sensing then they release tilt sensing controllers.

Wouldn't surprise me if a plug-in addition for existing controllers appears before long anyway.

Tilt would be kinda neat if implemented properly. But sofar on PS3 is been more of a gimmic than a benifit to gameplay. IMHO anyways.
