Again, the main event for Halo 2 is 4v4 while the main event for for Super Smash Bros. Melee is the 1v1. Final Boss took first place in the Halo 2 4v4 yet again, but for the first time since their contract. It must feel very good to win under this new pressure! Ken and Isai took first yet again in SSBM 2v2. Final Boss has only lost a tournament once while Ken and Isai have never lost a tournament match, ever. Very impressive work by both teams in their respective games!

Karma took first place in Halo 2's 1v1 yet again .That man is a beast! As is Ken, the winner for the 1v1 for SSBM. The guy who lost to Ken was PC Chris, someone who was able to beat him once this year back at MLG New York. PC Chris continues to improve so it should be interesting to see how they do next time they meet. MLG Chicago takes place July 21st to July 23rd, so check back then!

So?

MLG is garbage especially when it's just Halo & SSBM. They should stop now while they're behind.

Just because you're jealous that you suck too bad to make $3000 playing a game doesn't mean you should post about it. Keep it to yourself next time. Anyway, that's cool that there's finally some new names in the top 8, I've never heard of Hali or TimeliestBrute

while i agree that they should have some more games, dont try and take away from the skill these people have at arguably the most popular games out right now. the problem with adding new games to MLG would be that none are as popular as these two, so the payout would be so little no one would be willing to fly all the way to anaheim to play, say, call of duty so they can win 50 bucks. The only game I can think of that is popular enough to be added would be Madden, which i cant understand why they dont have it. Counterstrike seems to be popular enough, too, even though i hate that game. Correct me if im wrong, are these (H2 and SSBM) the only games hosted by MLG? or the only ones QJ mentions?

Yes, those are the only games they have right now, though they used to have a lot more. But as you guessed would happen, turnout was little to none because of lower rewards (and some of the games simply weren't popular), so they simply got rid of them. Also, MLG is strictly a console league, and most people who are good at CS 1.6 or Source say the Xbox version (or Condition Zero on PC) takes little skill, so offering a reward for playing it wouldn't be right, which is why they don't support it (the folks who run MLG are also avid competitive game fans and players, and agree that CS Xbox takes no skill) And #1, you don't have the right to diminish what these people have done with their life, until you have done something with yours. Have you made $250,000 doing what you like to do? Didn't think so.

ah

well, i still say madden should be popular enough for MLG. im surprised its not. you know what would be cool? if they had 2 players represent each franchise, and then play through the season according to the teams' real schedule. the 2 players could either play simultaneously, or one could be a "starter" and the other a sub if the first isnt doing too good. And then like, people could trade for the best players, but have a salary cap so you dont just buy the 2 best. Man that would be cool. Of course, this might cost a little more than MLG has to offer, but who knows, maybe something like ESPN would get in on it. They could run pre-game specials with it. wow that would be sweet. Dance dance is probably popular enough, too. And some racing game should be on there.
