Xbox 360

With all of the hoopla surrounding the supposed Zephyr incarnation of the Xbox 360 and Microsoft's non-comment, we finally get some official word on the rumors surrounding the HDMI-capable Xbox 360.

According to IGN, Microsoft's Chris Satchell has said that at the moment, everything we may have seen is just a look at their "experimentation back in Redmond." Moreover, Satchell said that the Zephyr 360 is "not really a product that we're thinking about announcing." The "at the moment" comment seems to suggest, though, that with enough demand Microsoft may see fit to release the Zephyr 360, or at least a similar model.

Anyway, that's one rumor gunned down, but Satchell also had something to say regarding the rumored 120GB hard drive for the Xbox 360. Same with the Zephyr 360, this one seems to just boil down to market demand. "As we produce these services, if we see an increase in pressure that's something that will be interesting to look at, but there isn't any announcement today about any new configuration that may or may not be happening," he said.

Demand ??

My comment is inregards to the 120GB HDD. How can M$ say there is no demand or they are looking into it. There video service is downloading Moves that are 3 GB and up. Where do you think people will put these movies when many people HD are really full at the momment .. No idea what they need to think about ..It's like one hand not kowing what the other hand is doing.. Is it tech people doing this or a non tech savy upper manager looking in to this..There is an over demand for a bigger HDD and they need to investigate.... makes no sense.

Microsoft should 2 let people plug in external hard drives into the X360 (like the PS3) + download content onto them. I dont wanna pay £140 for a 120GB HDD when 500GB's are available for the same price! If they are worried that no1 will buy the premium package (20GB X360) - they can just let ppl who have the 20GB HDD use externel hard drives (somehow) - problem solved! :D
