Cheaters beware! Microsoft is getting set to cast some epic-scale voodoo on you if you keep right on hacking, glitching, and cheating to get those Gears of War 2 Achievements you're so proud of. If voodoo doesn't scare you off, they'll just whip out the banhammer.

Here's the official word from Major Nelson:

As part of our regular safety monitoring we have pinpointed a group of players who have unlocked specific Gears of War 2 Achievements through an unauthorized hack. Deliberate cheats like these are in direct violation of the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and will not be tolerated. As I post this, weÂ’ve begun taking steps to reset the Gamerscores of the offending players.

If you don't want to get banned and have your gamercard plastered with cheater labels, best do what the man says.

» Banhammer?

The "official word" states nothing about bans just that they are resetting the cheaters gamer scores.

This would be a big blow to the cheating parties because they are obviously achievement whores.
