Microsoft unveils Xbox 360 Elite |

"Today's games and entertainment enthusiast has an insatiable appetite for digital high-definition content," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. "Xbox 360 Elite's larger hard drive and premium accessories will allow our community to enjoy all that the next generation of entertainment has to offer."
An Xbox 360 Play & Charge kit and a rechargeable battery - which, like all of the Elite's accessories, comes in black - are also bundled in the Elite box. There's also the standard Xbox Live Silver membership as well as a free on-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold.
The Xbox 360 Elite and its accessories are expected to begin arriving in U.S. stores on April 29. If you're looking for a more closer look at this black beauty, check out the images below.

The price of the unit is right, for 80.00 bucks more you get a 120HDD and HDMI, That's cool. But to be honest the price of the 120 HDD is a little high for my taste.
And for the retards that are saying that that the 360 is copyng the PS3, the developers Xbox are black from the beggining (I think Sony was the one that copy the color scheme)
The price for the HDD as a standalone is a bit high, although I guess it is cheap compared to buying 6 of the 20GB drives. Since they are selling the HDD separately, I'll probably just end up buying that, even if it is a bit on the high side.
I do want black controllers though...white system is OK, white controllers aren't cutting it...
black is not a colour scheme. you cant say anybody copied anybody with colours like black and white. anyway, xbox came after ps2 which was black, which means xbox copied sony. lol. anyway they should have chucked wifi in, but otherwise it looks sweet.

This "updated" system is BS... for all of us that bought a 360... Microsoft sold us the dream that we were getting an HD system... fine... now we get this... what are we supposed to do? They suggested we get two HDD's, 20gb $100 i don't think so... so they expect us to pay... $179 extra for HDMI when the system doesn't even have a HD DVD player built in... i don't wanna download movies either... the Drive will fill up then what? Upgrade?? or buy a new HDD?

In the UK we don't get any TV or film downloads so the extra HDD space is completely useless. HDMI is cool though. But will only really benefit HD DVD drive, but thats not very good anyways.

Ok don't you see what's happening Ms releases the White 360 20 gig hd,wireless controller,head set,and component cables call it the premium package and charge you $399.....and that's ok people will buy it.
Now this the Elite 120gig hd, and hdmi support and it's black (big deal ou can get another case for $60) and they charge you $479.....and that's ok people will but it.
Now next yr the will relase a "new" version named Xbox 360 Ultimate which includes same things as the Elite but also include the HD-DVD and Wi-FI and charge $699 for it.

What like the way they dropped the PS3 20 gig drive and faked those US/Japanese customers to, or when they dropped the PS2 hardware from the PS3 and put the price up and then gave a less compatible software emulator for the rest of the world.

What are YOU talking about. Sony never took anything away. All our consoles come with some form of the same parts. We all get HDMI, Bluray and a hard drive. The software emulation seems to be working fine, and they won't put the EE back in, you moron. And they didn't raise the price in EU, they left it where it was planned and pulled out that chip.
