Microsoft to increase Xbox 360 games in Japan |
Ó
Despite struggling in its attempts to win Japanese gamers over to their next-gen console, Microsoft Japan is currently working on doubling the number of games that they will release in Japanese shores.According to Takashi Sensui, Microsoft Japan's executive officer, the new titles may include a sequel to the Xbox 360 RPG Blue Dragon, which may mean that Japanese gamers will indeed get more RPGs in the near future.

I say forget about japan and their stuck up non 360 supporting attitudes. Pull the 360 from the shelves in japan and replace them with a pamphlet telling them how they are not worthy to play the 360. with a big microsoft embossed picture of bill gates popping them the bird. *nods
But good to see they're not giving up. Japanese XBOX support is crucial because many good game developers are based in Japan. XBOX 360 sales are poor, but are much better compared to the last XBOX which were abysmal. It seems really nobody knows the exact reason the 360 isn't taking off in Japan, which is surely frustrating for Microsoft.
Maybe they just need an annoying mascot and gimmicky controller?
more rpg goodness. I'd like to see them cater by putting down for some upgraded retro FF on xbla... but that's my pipedream.
With Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Ninja Gaiden 2, and I'm certain others I don't remember as exclusives I think they might hopefully push a few consoles that direction.
Remember Microsoft.

Mister Common Sense tell me just thing why do you hate nintendo is it because they are better or what just give some facts instead of $hit
The main reason 360 is not doing well at all in Japan, is that there are extremly little number of games that the Japanese want to play. Japanese do not care about Halo, or CoD 4. There not into C&C type games. More RPGs, More 3 preson action games, like MGS. Turn-Based Strategy games, like Dai Senryaku. The only game from over here that might do realy well in Japan is Mass Effect. A realy well made RPG.
Yes mass effect owns. I'm not japanese but I did stay at a holiday inn express.
What does that have to do with this article? Some people have their preferences, and he obviously doesn't like the Wii.

Thats not a good idea. You do realize that every system that won the generation has been number 1 in Japan PS1, PS2, as examples. If MS wants any chance of Wining this generation they will need to find a way to cater to what the Japs like. Other wise there not going to win, Japan Is very big gaming industry and is the key to generation success. So its going to be interesting on they release in japan
Simply the xbox is too noisy and ugly for their small cutie rooms. It's not about games... And they think xbox is not reliable.
So instead of making those "big eyes, small mouth" games, MS should create a nice and silent box.
is flag nintendo post all day all he does is base his FACTS with nothing to SUPPORT it
The xbox360 is just way too loud and unreliable. MS should take some notes from Nintendo and Sony on making consoles, then just maybe they'll stand a chance in japan. But that's a long shot. The Japanese expect high quality consoles, not big plastic boxes that produce more heat than the sun and make more noise than an emo screamer.
Ok, lets say that MS makes a high quality console. Its smaller, makes way less noise, and is alot cooler. Then the Japanese will run out and buy the 360 and all the FPS and RTS.
No, not even close. It is about the games. The Japanese( as well as Chinese) love RPGs, Turn-Based Strategy, and 3rd person view action game. (I am not even going to list the other intreseing games they make.) To say that the only reason the Japanese will not get the 360 is becuse it is not made well, is to miss the main reason you get a console in the first place, Games, and the 360 dose not have the line up that the Japanese want.
The XBOX 1 didn't have those problems and it did even worse, so I think the hardware itself isn't the problem. Besides the new consoles are much better and the warranty covers them.
The 360 really isn't noisy, and anybody who complains about it has issues.
I do enjoy bashing the Wii because it's fun and easy, but I do support my claims with links when applicable. I know how Ninty operates and since they put forth the least effort yet make the most money they deserve the most criticism. Also they don't give a s*it about people like me that bought their products all these years and would rather make crap toys that are catered to soccer moms and homosexuals than real game consoles that gave them a name in the business in the first place.
So what if the Gamecube wasn't a success? At least they were putting a good effort into traditional game systems. The N64 was one of my favorites. The NES was great and I spent almost all my money on games when I was a kid. Now Nintendo sold out in the name of greed and they can suck my d*ck.
I'll keep up what I'm doing thank you.
it seems like it has more to do with Nationalism than the actual games or sound produced.
I do not see that at all. If that was the case MS would have gotten next to 0 sales in Japan. 360 is doing ok but could do mush more. They had 5 years with the X-Box to see what works, here and Japan. and also look at who won the last gen, PS2. why? Sony covered all the bases in the type of games that came out. They let 3rd party go, pretty much, free, and make great games. MS needs to understand that it is not about how mush is made on accessories, or X-Box Live. It is about the games. MS needs to follow what Sony did with the first PS. And they would be on top here and in Japan.
You two are being the most idiotic fanboys at the moment. The problems with 360 has basically from my current knowledge has been fix. The new 65nm chips and smaller heatsinks kinda fix the over heating problems its not generating that much heat now. Besides the noise is the fan anyway and im pretty sure they fix that problem was well.
besides the 360 actually has the potential to last more than last gen, if its used correctly. I mean this generation its going to be very close in terms of whos going to win, MS has more big titles than last gen, we all know the PS3 will get the games that will help Sony, i think Nintendo should actually follow MS and Sony and makes quality games, I have not even seen a great game from them at all. And at most the games i played for it only lasted 2 weeks on interest and thats it. SSBB is probably the only game that can actually deliver the fun factor for months but i just don't see any other wow games from them.
It seems to me there not a game system either more of a console doing far different things. And the hardware sales are big no doubt but the game sales are pretty bad actually. Compared to the 360. There is no games that is console movers for Nintendo other than Brawl. And thats the only game im interesting in for the Wii my sister has. Albeit this is my opinion and my experience on the Wii but its not that fun for me. I get plenty use out of the PS3 and 3560 when i get one, hopefully at Christmas or later. Ninja Gaiden 2 it where its at for me.
