1 vs 100 - Image 1

Microsoft's massively multiplayer online quiz game, 1 vs 100, is free for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers to enjoy. Well, the first season, at least. So far, Microsoft has made no indications that they'll be introducing a subscription fee for future seasons, but neither have they ruled it out.

During the game's launch event in London, Xbox Live marketing manager Tania Chee was asked by GamesIndustry about plans for a subscription model for 1 vs 100's subsequent seasons. Chee's response:

I don't know what's going to happen to be honest. It's a test for us to prove the platform will be a success.

Chee added that while they have nothing to announce at this time, they "ultimately hope [1 vs 100] will be a resounding success so we can move forward into future seasons."

Thought they said this would be free for sure, at least for Gold members? It's fun, but I won't be paying for it.
