Live Vision CameraMicrosoft's Gamefest, being held this week in Seattle, has released new details on the launch of the Xbox Live Vision video camera for the Xbox 360 including the fact that it will be bundled with a free gesture-based game - TotemBall. The game was initially announced back in May this year, and is being developed by mainly Mac title publishers, Strange Flavour and Freeverse (who developed ToySight for the Apple iSight Camera).

TotemBall is controlled through gestures - that is, through the player's arm movements. In the game you attempt to control a wheeled totem pole around each level, collecting items as you go and trying to reach the exit with the set time limit. According to Microsoft's Jeff Stone, there has been no other officially announced products, but more are in the early stages of development.

TotemBall and the Xbox Live Vision Camera is set to ship this September, and according to GameStop the RRP will be US$39.99, even though no official price has yet been announced.

It'll be cool once it's common for games to let you map you picture onto your characters for online/offline play...i'll definately get one at that point.

Great price makes it hard not to find a reason not to get one .. It's called agressive pricing.. At the price point makes it hard for any gamer to say no to it. Yet reap the sales of another device and garner alot of coverage for being the first or most popular consumer device that does video conference ... This could be the push that peaks interest in Video conf accross the board so don't think the pricing is as ridiculous or the quality will be skimped (I hope not). It would be a strategic good move on M$ part.
