Microsoft: Just buy 360 and beer instead of PS3 |

As it goes, the company just sent a gift package to gaming site Computer and Video Games (CVG). The package contains £146 worth of Foster's beer (alright, Foster's Lager, for the nitpicky), as well as a love note. That's US$ 286.86 worth of beer, in case you were wondering. And why would they spend more than a hundred quid on beer? The note offers a short and sweet explanation, and reads:
We're pretty sure Microsoft knows full well that an act like this will be published all across the internet, especially among gaming sites. We can't really say for sure, but building rapport between Microsoft and gaming journalists sounds like a pretty good move to us. Also, this is definitely still much cheaper than going on an all-out ad campaign and buying a TV spot or putting up a giant billboard somewhere on a busy highway. And have we mentioned that this is one of those things that will most definitely not be forgotten easily?
Microsoft... um, we drink beer, too, you know. Please?

They should of sent a high def player, wi-fi, hdmi, memory card slots, internal power supply port and 40 extra gigs. But then again you can buy all that with 146 pounds, can you????
nearly all of those dont make ps3 worth the more money. Its slower, harder to program for and has less games. Also who needs hdmi,internal power supply, hi def player and 40 gigs. Not to mention your 40g extra is needed for installing ps3 games. Il give you wifi its useful but ps3 aint worth the tag.
Dont forget about the play charge kit! You will make your £146 back in five years after not having to pay for live!!!
I bought an x360 for gears of war and it's crap... I returned my x360 after one week. I mean, I loved halo 1 but gears of war is real crap... And anyway, the best shooter around to wait for crysis on PC is fall of man. The best will be crysis, dah. But I'll still buy an xbox360 ( the new black edition ) for the mistwalker games...
Of course PS3 has less games, its been out for 4 months. Christ, thats like people complaining that the xbox 360 doesnt have as many games as the PS2... retards.
Id go for the beer and any good online game or fushion frenzy 2 with my friends. But it will get even better when i have beer an guitar hero 2!
Yeh, nice one Microsoft. Try and buy favour amongst gaming journalists by giving out beer. We all know you're scared of the PS3 threat, and will try anything possible to gain any extra publicity. Can't you instead rely on the strength of your console and its games? Or are you unhappy with the console and so feel it needs a helping hand? Why would you want to play FF2? It's not even fun with friends, one of the worst games on the 360 by far. I couldn't agree more with Game Informer's review of it (2 from first reviewer, 1.25 on second opinion). It wouldn't be fun even if you're drunk

Senjutsu, you should know better than to say something like that around all these fanboys, lol------and on another note, im not so sure i agree with the article. the ps3 is a good console, and its specs outshine the 360 in nearly every category, but the support in games and community just isnt there yet. to say that the ps3 is worth less than a beer is a gross overstatement. buy one if it suits you, and if it doesnt, just wait, or dont get it at all.
Yeah who needs a crystal clear native digital 1080p output through HDMI, free online service, high capacity Blu-ray disks, higher spec console, larger (convertable) HDD, PSP connectivity, Multi directional interactive controller, Wifi and Bluetooth built in, built-in card readers and true dolby digital 7.1? That would just be silly right? Gee I'm glad I saved that £146 and bought beer, I could have wasted all that money!

This has been said many times before, If you can't afford $4.- a month for a online fee that is FAR superior to it's opponent than you need to do extra work around the house so the parents give you more allowance or you need to find a job. Cause that is just sad my friend. The games on 360 are online if not always online and PS3 hardly has any online games. What was it? The Tennis game? Oh that's right PS3 has been out for 4 months and still can't release the same games with Online Support, I'm sorry but if you get free Online Service with PS3 but can't get games online than why is it worth it being free? Also, even Sony Fangirls know this one. Xbox 360 is just flat out better right now, and will be for a long long time. Jump in and play b3yond cause PS3 apparently isn't playing B3yond at all. The games look good? Eh, sure Motor Storm looks good but nothing that Xbox 360 can't do and already has shown. i love the ps2 and xbox.....love the 360 and hate the ps3. Hands down 360 wins for me because ps3 has no fun games and everything that WAS exclusive is coming out on the 360 eventually ;). All PS3 devs like DMC4 for example is making a smart move in coming to MS. I'm sorry but all i have to say about the PS3 is Mobile Suit Gundam.
wow, what a superb comment "Zen", I'm with you! lol Anyway I bought an xbox 360 and returned it after a week since I hated gears of war ( loved halo 1 ). Finally I suppose I'll buy every consoles, but not right now, they cost a lot, the games cost a lot, and the games I want are not there ( FF13, cry on, blue dragon, lost odyssey, white knight story, MGS4, etc )
That's why I hate the xbox 360, maybe the next one ( black one named "elite" with 120g HD and a lot less NOISE ) will be good, not sure. But in the spec. point of view, and a "fashion" point of view, the ps3 is wonderfull, even to the simpliest touch, like the disc toaster and the touch control buttons, it's great. But it lacks games right now, but this summer it won't be a problem anymore and the ps3 will then challenge the xbox 360 a lot more. ( the ps3 launched in europe 42 mins. ago, so it's not like they are in the long run right now, they are still in the start. I mean, after 1 years ½ the xbox 360 have what? 4-5 great games? and after the launch the ps3 have what? 2 great games? ( FoM, Motorstorm ) man, let them be a bit, after a year sony will pop soooo much japanese games anyway, and everybody loves japanese games better so we'll see if M$ can get enough multi-platforms )
