Mohit Anand - Image 1Popular Indian gaming industry figure Mohit Anand, former country manager of Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices division, kept silent when asked whether speculations were true that the reason for his departure is an offer by Nintendo to bring the Wii to India. He explained that he just wanted to "move on the next level" to pursue his dreams.

To the question of Nintendo requesting his help in launching the white hot console in his country, Anand replied:

...I can't say anything. I don't think so Nintendo first of all hasn't made any announcements on entering the country. There are rumors and speculations floating around for that as well but all I will say is that right now I am not going to be making any formal announcements as to where I am headed.  But whatever I do next will be in the cusp of entertainment, convergence, youth, gaming. It is all there.

Anand also stressed out that he did not leave Microsoft because of internal struggles. He expressed his confidence in the platform holder's current line-up of employees, and believes his exit won't hurt the plans of Microsoft india.

On the other hand, he stated that he's hands off the Sony PlayStation 3 even if the offer arises. Find the rest of the interview by clicking on the "via" link below.

.

It would be a tough job lying about any advantage the Wii supposedly has over other real systems. Even Reggie Fils "hisbuthole" Aime is bad at it, and he's top dog in the US.
