Xbox 360 - Image 1It's "Thank You" time for Microsoft in Japan as they happily announce at a Tokyo press conference today that the Xbox 360 finally hit the one million mark. To share their gratitude to their loyal fans, MS announced their "Thank You" campain, where over 1 million MS Points will be given away. Oh, and they've got 31 new games coming.

But first, on the campaign. Apart from the MS points they'll be giving away, they'll also be sending out a free dashboard theme. Yeah, yeah. They could have gone for something better, but hey, they've got 31 new games anyway. Right?

Here's the list of games they mentioned:
  1. Magna Carta 2 (Namco Bandai, August 6 release)
  2. Tekken 6 (Namco Bandai, Fall 2009)
  3. Lost Planet 2 (Capcom, New trailer showed off the game's four-player cooperative; video should be available on Japanese Xbox LIVE Marketplace today)
  4. Dead Rising 2 (Capcom, new trailer showed gameplay; video should be on Xbox LIVE Marketplace today)
  5. Bayonetta (Showed off same trailer, but demonstrated live gameplay!)
  6. Mass Effect
  7. Halo: ODST
  8. BlazBlue
  9. King of Fighters XII
  10. Samurai Spirits Shin (Exclusive to Xbox 360 in 2009)
  11. Lode Runner (XBLA)
  12. Banjo-Tooie (XBLA)
  13. Virtual-ON (XBLA)
  14. Mega Man 9 (XBLA... seriously, this isn't out in Japan yet? What the hell, Capcom?)
  15. O-D Beatdrop (An XBLA game by Arc System Works; pronounced "zero to D"; a rhythm puzzle game)
  16. Space Invaders Extreme (XBLA)
  17. Puzzle Bobble NEO!
  18. Garou Mark of the Wolves
  19. King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match (XBLA in 2010)
  20. King of Fighters+ Sky State (XBLA in 2010, an overhead shooting game?)
  21. Final Fantasy Crystal Defenders (XBLA, already available...mentioned anyhow)
  22. Yosumin LIVE! (XBLA)
  23. Project Cube (Square Enix title)
  24. 0 Day Attack on Earth (Square Enix XBLA title, 3D shooting)
Okay, that's missing about seven other titles. But at the end of the presentation, they had more montages of game titles:
  1. H.A.W.X
  2. Wanted: Weapons of Fate
  3. Top Spin 3
  4. Bionic Commando
  5. MLB 2K9
  6. Elder Scrolls: Shivering Isles
  7. Gears of War 2 (localization)
Well, that makes it 31 in all then. You likes?

» Oh my fu**

Magna Carta 2. God I hope that comes out stateside. Hell, even if it doesn't HTK's artwork would almost be enough for me.

And @danielakadamy

A lot of those titles are multiplatform or XBLA titles which is why the list is so big.
