It's not like Microsoft didn't see this coming, but the demand for their new motion technology, Kinect, is just too high that retailers are expressing concern over the obvious lack of supply. MS, for their part, has continuously reassured that they are "working hard to ensure stock is available throughout Christmas."

Said Dominic Carey, spokesperson for the company, "It's an exciting time to be in the entertainment industry and we're thrilled to have brought Kinect for Xbox 360 to market this week. Consumers have shown exceptional appetite for Kinect and we are continuing to work with our retail partners to bring the Kinect experience to homes around the world.

As you may not know, we have a global team building and shipping units as fast as we can and we will continue to work hard to ensure that stock is available throughout the Christmas season for hundreds of thousands of families to enjoy this year."
