Microsoft explains Xbox Live Friends List 100 cap limit |

In case some of you failed to notice, Microsoft implemented a cap limit to the total number of people you can add to your Xbox Live Friends list. Some might find this useful while the "sociable" gamers might see this as something absurd. Regardless of what you think about this policy, Xbox 360 Group Product Manager Aaron Greenberg recently provided a very detailed explanation about the matter:
There's some interdependencies. Some things like original Xbox games have friends lists hard coded in, so there's things we gotta work through, but we'll get it figured out, it's something we want to do.
Still, the majority of Live users don't even have 30 friends. But, I agree, my list is full.

"Still, the majority of Live users don't even have 30 friends." I don't know why, but I found that quote funny. More appropriately, he should have stated that the majority of Live users don't have more than 30 people on their friends list.
PS3 lets you have 50 users on your Friends List total.. Personally I dont give a damn.. I have 5 or 6 people on my list and I dont play with them or message them at all. The whole thing is blown out of proportion by compulsive Myspace freaks who cant say "hi" to anyone without adding them to their friends list.
Yea, I have REAL friends on my friends lists (both Xbox and PS3). I hate when every random person from the games I play adds me or people from forums even.
More than half the people you play with online you rarely talk to or even play with. I have like 6 on mine as well.
well i have like 24 friends so it doesn't matter to me i only really talk 2 ppl i know personally p.s. Stealth! has an XBOX 360? i thought u only liked the ps3?
Will have 360, im a consumer not a fanboy of one, only kids like to label me as a Sony fanboy. I like all systems, i did state if i had money i would have gotten all 3, and im close to getting a 360.
