Microsoft dates Xbox Live Dashboard update |

Microsoft has announced that Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the new dashboard update starting August 11, 2009. The update will add new features such as improved Netflix support, the Games on Demand service, and the Avatar Marketplace.
The press release announcing the update's release also mentioned a fall launch for the social networking services Microsoft announced at E3 2009. This includes support for Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm. Also coming this fall is support for instant on 1080p HD streaming video through the Zune.
