Microsoft confirms rewards program for Xbox Live users

Rumblings about some sort of Xbox Live rewards program for the Xbox 360 started picking up steam yesterday after some gamers received an email asking them to sign up for it. Today Microsoft has confirmed that the rewards program is indeed being tested.

"We are always exploring ways to provide the most value for our members and are currently testing a pilot rewards program with a select base of our Xbox LIVE community in the US," a Microsoft spokesman told Kotaku.

There are no further details yet regarding the program (which will supposedly give out "cool stuff"), and the spokesperson noted that they have nothing to share at this time. All that's known is that the sign-up period closes today.

Might be points to buy DLC or use them to lower prices to things.

Maybe it would be free DLC for some of the games you own (fingers crossed) or free XBXLA games or themes beats me I'd wished it'd be the free DLC
