It's been a while since we last heard from BioWare's Mass Effect, with the last update reporting about how it got a much tamer rating from the BBFC than the ESRB. Now, we get an info-laden news item about this highly-anticipated title from the Xbox 360, and it's about Nihlus Kyrik, one of Saren's confidants and a character we'll be interacting with come the Mass Effect's release date.

So who is Nihlus Kyrik? Funny you should ask. He's one of the Citadel Council's most decorated Spectre agents, with unmatched prowess in battle and recklessness to match. Nihlus was born into a hard life, and forced to attend in the Turian military - where he excelled both as a student and a soldier, despite being held by his peers as a mere outsider. He attracted the attention of Saren, and was soon inducted into the elite ranks of the Spectres.

While reckless, Nihlus is far from hot-tempered. Cool as ice even under intense fire, Saren's main confidant has a knack for finding his enemy's main weakness and exploiting it mercilessly. His methods, while not as brutal or as violent as his mentor's, are highly effective in getting things done which makes Nihlus a very dangerous individual. Certainly someone to watch out for in Mass Effect indeed.

This game looks great! It's the best 360 game yet. So I'd say Gears would be around second gen 360 game and Mass Effect in between 2 and 3. I've seen the water in this game and it looks crappy and flat. ANd it's bad even for flat water. The tank wasn't even below the surface water, it was driving on top of it! Seriously though, when are 360 games going to have moving surface water? That's why I can't wait for VF5 to come out to 360 to see if the 360 can pull of moving water.
