Mass Effect: Revelation by Drew Karpyshyn - Image 1While some of you think that "r3al gamerz" don't read, you can bet your alien hordes that you just might have to submit to that guilty pleasure. For the other people who make it a point to pick up a book every so often, "Halo: Ghost of Onyx" might have impressed you. Here's something that could possibly dethrone that from your "videogame-to-book" list of faves.

It's a prequel to BioWare's highly-anticipated Mass Effect for the Xbox 360 and is written by the same guy who worked as the lead writer for the game itself. Yep, it's official canon. The author of "Mass Effect: Revelation" is New York Times Bestseller Drew Karpyshyn - whose work extends to the Knights of the Old Republic.

We don't want to spoil anything for you guys. I for one dislike reading summaries at the back of the book before getting to read the actual story inside. So now, we'll leave that up to your decision, but what we're only willing to say is that it's a prequel. It's already available in Amazon (link below) and that gives you enough time from now until the game's release to get a sampling of the story waiting for you.
