Major Nelson PodcastIt's no secret that Major Nelson is a big name in the XBox community. Major Nelson (also known as Larry Hryb) doesn't only host his very own no-nonsense podcast on the current trends and issues in gaming; he's also XBox Live's Director of Programming.

This week brings us to episode 191 of The Major Nelson Show, and he gets to focus on something that's been getting a lot of people excited: the XNA.

For those who are new to the XBox world, the XNA is a game development kit created by Microsoft. While it only allows for PC game making right now, it's expected that the tech will be allowed to make XBox games of your own. At the very least, the XNA is a readily-accessible programming environment for people to learn how to deal with codes, and has also picked up the attention of schools who want to teach it (practical knowledge at last!).

The Major Nelson Show #191's highlight would be an interview with Chris Satchell, general manager for game development and of the XNA. The two discuss where the XNA is headed, the XNA Creators Club, and what this game-making kit can really mean for indie developers (and that means homebrewers too!).

In any case, you can grab a copy of episode 191 from us. Tell us what you think about it, but don't forget to keep it civil, alright?
