If you've read the comic book and watched the movie, and find yourself wanting some high-end kit themed after those ridiculously-awesome Spartans, here's something that would make even Leonidas yell himself hoarse in envy with: an Elite Xbox 360, with the all-too-familiar blood spatter, number and helmet printed upon its surface. Awesome.So how does one acquire one of these Xbox 360s graced with the image of Leonidas himself? That's the hard part - harder than holding off a million Persians with only 300 men. Microsoft is giving away ten of them in this year's Comic-Con, with only the first 6000 attendees allowed to take part in the raffle.
That's quite a small number of these beauties for such a large crowd. Couldn't they have pulled 300 units instead, just to match the number of Spartans?
While this certainly ramps up the difficulty of getting a 300-themed Xbox 360 into Nightmare Mode, take solace in the fact that Microsoft's bringing Comic-Con directly to your console with the help of Warner Brothers Home Entertainment. Movie trailers, celebrity interviews, game trailers and panels - it's all there, through Xbox Live.
Certainly an item to fight massive armies for, indeed. Updates as we get them!

How many special units is M$ going to put in? First the Elite, the Halo thing, and now this? M$ should concentrate more on making their consoles ROD proof then producing more of this crap. (Don't get me wrong, 300 was a bad ass movie. But this puts it to shame)

What's wrong to launch a system with another look.. I though it was a good thing... isn't another version of an xbox... is just the same elite with another look.. this xbox is just target at fans of 300 and newcomers to the platform that likes 300...
For one thing, MS does not make these in any way. They do not make the design, and they do not paint the units themselves. Both of those tasks are outsourced to professionals. For another, it's simply an Elite painted 300-themed, not some new system that had to be designed from the ground up. Even if Microsoft did make them, it would take all of a couple days to make the design and paint ten 360s. Hardly would cut into MS's schedule
Id be working on fixing the fricking console rather than painting it different colours. Elite is going to fail anyway, HD DVD = dreamcast lifespan
Obviously I didn't mention anything about new added components. Just the fact that M$ just creates all this junk that has no use. What about those who already bought a 360 but are Halo fans. Sure they would want that but that means they cough up another chunk out of their bank account just for a cosmetic make over. Pointless, that is unless they're selling just the chasset of the Halo model.
Sony creates junk that has no use too, its called the Playstation 3.
