Here's a bit of news that may cause those waiting for Mad Tracks on the 360 to either jump with excitement, wallow in self-pity, or do both in a cheesy good-news bad-news scenario. The bad news is that Mad Tracks, the micro machines-like mini racing title for the Xbox 360 has been delayed, with the good news being the addition of a quality multiplayer mode and a new screenshot in compensation.

Denis Bourdain, VP of Mad Tracks developer Load Inc has said this week that Microsoft & Load Inc. have listened to gamers confirming what they wanted all along: to make this not only the best Xbox 360 Live Arcade party game for home multiplayer, but also for online Xbox Live multiplayer. For this reason the game will be delayed, resulting in a quality Xbox Live online title.

“We’re very excited to add this feature that undoubtedly makes a great difference with other next gen consoles. (…) We also hope to team up with a partner soon to help publish this title in a proper fashion. Leipzig is a perfect time to present ‘Mad Tracks XBLA’ to potential investors” added Denis Bourdain.

Mad Tracks
was supposed to be available this October but due to this setback, it could be any time as nobody has confirmed the release date. Hopefully the game will his shelves before Christmas, in the meantime, this lonely screenshot (which doesn't reveal anything) will have to do.

Actually, that's a pretty big part (that of multiplayer). I am happy they are waiting to incorporate that.

Well, i guess that would be a good thing considering it's a live arcade game and not a 50 dollar release.
