According to him, "if you look at game play videos and screenshots, you will notice one huge striking similarity between Lumines Live and Lumines 2 for PSP, their actually the same exact game, only the name is different. From the interface, to the music, to the features (the Lumines 2 for PSP will have downloadable videos like Lumines Live), and even the little face character on the bottom right. It might almost be best for them to just call it Lumines 2 on XBLA."
DA360 mentioned that aside from its different names, the only other difference between the two are their price tags. He points out that the PSP UMD will cost you around $30-$40 depending on where you buy the game while Lumines Live will cost you $15 (or 1,200 MS points). The same game or way different? Well, we will let you be the judge of that.

The picture on the left - the 360 version - shows a level from Lumines 1, so maybe it'll be Lumines 1 without the UMD!
well i'm hearing that the two games will have different features. I can't see them making the same game on both systems.
the extra $15 would pay for; manufacturing of the UMD's, Labour in the factories, tranpost to retailers, and then commision for the retailers when they sell it...its a whole lot cheaper to stick a file on the net..that just take one person to click a button..then theres the crazy process it has to take to get onto marketplace..but still, its not going to cost alot
the reason the two games look the same is *gasp* because they ARE the same game!? get out of town! maybe thats why, considering theyre sequels, they look exactly like the LAST game? oh no!!! maybe theyre just a copy of the first game but with different songs!!! run for the hills!!!!

lumines live IS lumines 1, same songs, same character icons, etc etc etc...
lumines 2 is VERY SIMILAR TO lumines 1. It just has new songs, new puzzles, new characters.
So yeah...they'll look similar, but its stupid to say that its lumines 2. That's like saying that lumines 2 IS lumines 1, which it obviously isnt..
