Lost Planet gets viral in latest webisode |

It looks like Capcom's getting into the spirit of viral marketing. We've mentioned their game-teasing webisodes once before and while we thought they were fun to watch, we didn't expect Capcom to put hidden stuff in it. All it took was someone with very sharp eyes and an undivided attention to frames, and a little tidbit about a hidden message spreads through the net.
In this case, Capcom placed a message inside their latest Lost Planet webisode for people to find, which someone managed to do eventually. During the final few seconds of the webisode, in the screen shown above, you get a glimpse of a URL on the internet. The site is neovenusconstruction.com, dedicated to creating "the technologies for operational-business excellence and fuel the research which brings us closer to new planet colonization and terraforming".
If that sounds like science fiction to you, then you're right. Neo Venus Construction is a company that figures directly into the story of Lost Planet, and may very well be the one that instigated the events that began the game.
Additional digging leads to more viral goodness. Most of the pages at the Neo Venus Construction page require a username and password, so expect that to come in future webisodes. There's also a link to the Tourbit Aerospace, which also has its own website and offers commercial space flights to consumers. While it might take some more digging, rest assured that someone's going to find out the ins and outs of this viral marketing ploy and expose Neo Venus for what it is.
In the meantime, have a look at the video for yourself, and expect the game to be out on Microsoft's 360 early next year.
