Fans of the upcoming Xbox 360 game Lost Odyssey may want to take note of a new development that's hitting the Japanese version of the game next year. Famitsu is reporting that Mistwalker and Microsoft will be releasing some free downloadable content for the game come January 2008.

Now, the language translation is a bit spotty, but it seems that the DLC in question will feature additional in-game content in the form of new weapons and accessories. There's a mention of a "Forgotten Song" item, as well as "the book of secrets proficient" and "guard weapons II" accessories. That being said though, it's a free download, so there's no reason to not get it if you have a copy of the game.

The two pieces of DLC will be available to Gold members on January 10, 2008, while Silver members can pick it up a week later. Let's just all hope we get the DLC as well when the game comes out in February.
