Microsoft sent out a limited number of metallic orange Xbox 360 controllers to select members of the video game press, still in relation to the on-going fifth year anniversary celebration of the Xbox Live service. Prior to this, big MS already gave out "thank you gifts" to gamers in the form of free Carcassonne download and 500 Microsoft Points.

These limited edition controllers, quite sadly, are just for the press and will not be available to retail customers. Aside from the sleek looking baby, Microsoft also included a Live Brochure which contains an interesting timeline for the service as well as some quotes from non-believers five years ago

Examples include "No one wants to talk while they play games... they like typing" and "Who wants a friends list in their game" Truly, Xbox Live has come a long way since it first went live.

So as a consolation prize, click on the Via link below. It should take you to Microsoft's official timeline page for Xbox Live.

No ones cares MS

Seriously, no one gives a damn about how old your online service is. It's just an excuse to hype up the 360 during the holidays
