GTA IV - Image 1Ever since it was announced that GTA IV (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) DLC on XBL, a lot of speculations and rumors have gone around gaming town, ranging from  the install times, new cities available, and exclusivity of content.

While Microsoft has been pretty good at keeping mum on this the past months, Leipzig proved to be a relative breakthrough. At the end of Microsoft's press release for their holiday line-up quietly lay the bit that they will be releasing news on the GTA IV DLC this coming autumn.

Hold up guys. That's "releasing news" - not "releasing DLC". There's a huge difference right there, so don't get all too excited and misunderstand. Says MS: "In autumn, there will be news from Liberty City; the first episodes of GTA IV will be available for download exclusively on Xbox Live, underlining Xbox 360's leadership role in the field of digital entertainment."

Such a simple statement, and yet there's just a lot for you to abstract and piece together. With the news release, does it follow that the actual content will be coming shortly? What of the Liberty City? Does that put a lid on the rumors that there will be new cities opened? And the episodic content -- exclusive, eh?

Anyway, as they said, more news will be out this fall, so just stay tuned for that.

» what's all the ruckus, guys?

are the short versions showing up blank? hmm.. it's most probably a lag issue. we do appreciate the heads up. hopefully it won't happen the rest of the day, but if it does, be assured we're not shooting blanks here. ;P thanks!
