Free DLC? On the Xbox 360? Will wonders never cease. It's been officially confirmed by Valve that the upcoming DLC for Left 4 Dead will be free for both the Xbox 360 and the PC.
The Survival Pack DLC will come this Spring and will introduce the new multiplayer game mode, Survival, as well as versus mode support for the Death Toll and Dead Air campaigns.
If you haven't bought the game yet but you plan to in the future, better wait for the Critic's Choice Edition which will also come out this Spring. That edition will contain the game as well as the contents of the Survival Pack DLC.

Wow. Free? For the 360? Now that is something i have not seem in a while.
It is just so ridiculous how M$ wants to charge for every single item on live, and if given the chance they would even charge for the demos. Seriously....
I had a feeling they wouldn't charge us for this since it's just basically Versus mode complete.
I can't wait to get the maps that they release later which I will most definitely buy.
Microsoft is trying to squeeze every dime out of us. Yet they still crush the PS3 as far as an online games and services package goes.

Probably because their spending of millions of dollars to get game to be "exclusive" is destroying the video game industry. Could you imagine if they'd work together rather than against each other? Stop lying about TF2, we know about the extra achievements/weapons, and obviously if MS isn't charging for this, then they wouldn't charge for TF2's extras. I guess since he does everything for his PC Fanbase free, he wants to bleed the Xbox gamers dry of money to fund further PC development.
