Leaked questionnaire reveals future plans for the X360?

question markWe would like to start this off with a brief discussion about survey and questionnaire. We were planning to tell you how the latter is a rather cheap and efficient tool. After all, a questionnaire always gets direct answers unlike other research tools that allow respondents to beat around the bush. Yes, we were planning to do that but then again, nah.

We felt that this is kind of pressing so we would like to post this as early as we can. Here goes: Accordingly, there has been a leaked Microsoft questionnaire that hints on the company's future plans for the X360. Unfortunately, we are still unable to ascertain the validity of the matter as of now.

If the questionnaire is to be believed, then we're saying that Microsoft has again employed the "Bring it" attitude to answer its adversaries. Some have been speculating that the Microsoft is currently on shaky grounds because of various reasons. Anyway, here are the questions and tell us what you think about them:
  1. How interested would you be in buying an Xbox 360-branded mini-keyboard plug-in device for your controller to make text messaging and chat easier, assuming it would cost between $19-$29?
  2. How interested would you be in paying per song ($0.99/song) to download music to your Xbox 360 hard-drive from a music service? You would be able to use this service while playing a game?
  3. How interested would you be in paying a subscription per month ($14.99/mo) to stream any and all music to your Xbox 360 from a library of over two million songs? You would be able to use this service while playing a game?
  4. How interested would you be in paying per video ($19.99/movie, $1.99/TV show) to download standard definition full movies and TV movies to your XBOX 360 hard-drive?
  5. How interested would you be in renting movies ($3.99/movie) that are downloaded in standard definition to your XBOX 360 until you watch them and then are deleted?
  6. How interested would you be in paying a subscription per month ($5.99/mo) to access 10- 20 internet radio stations streamed to your Xbox 360? You would be able to use this service while playing a game?
  7. How interested would you be in using an integrated Xbox 360 Web Browser that would allow you to access and browse the Internet over your Xbox Live connection?
  8. How interested would you be in participating in beta tests for upcoming games if they cost an additional incremental fee?

how is that stealing? last time I checked that was called "selling stuff for money" wich is exactely what companies like MS do. Dont buy what you dont want, no one has a gun to your head so STFU!

I'm more interested in how much they want to charge for Beta versions? I'd be a bit sceptical about paying to test games for companys, I'd much rather get the betas for free and provide feedback on the game as a return

» dont beta tester get paid before early 90s.

seriously, i thought the free beta testing opportunity is a little way for the developer to save money, but to charge for beta is just too greedy.

» ^^^Stealing

Thats still not stealing, its no different than iTunes. besides, the fact that you call it a trashbox 360 takes all your credibility away anyways you *****ing fanboy. if you don't like Xbox then get off this site you retard. Giving you the option to buy something is and never will be stealing.

#7 all the way. everythign els is some stupid idea for MS to try and get more money out of me, NO!

by hi - 2006-12-13 19:38
» your all dumb

Why when ms comes out with a new product or in this case THINKS about releasing something new people start flipping out about them trying to make money?

MS is a business and making money is what a business does. No different than Sony or Nintendo so get off it.

» ha!

**How interested would you be in stuffing your hard-earned money into our fat greedy pockets?

F*%$ Microshyt..

really. X360 is wack and MS is just as bad..

by sigh - 2006-12-15 08:37
» sigh

wow, arent we stupid, cant even click on the little 'reply' button under someone's post

how does him calling it a trashbox make him lose all his credibility ? that fantalk if you'd ask me. He has a point, and wether or not he likes the 360 doesnt change that.

giving you the option to buy something that you can get for free is and always will be stealing in human terms...

by q - 2006-12-15 11:09
» to: sigh

Your an idiot also. There is no reply button for messages that ARE replys! And that is not stealing becuae they are not TAKING ANYTHING FROM YOU WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! Get a dictionary.

Also you can stream your music to the 360 from your PC or mp3 player for free already they are just giving you the option to buy music over the internet and download it directly to your 360 which is a lot like itunes assuming it can then be transported to the Zune. Its no different at all really. Also you cant get music for free without STEALING so WTF are you talking about? And the reason he loses his credibility because calling it a trashbox shows bias which makes all of his arguments moot. Why don't you get a clue? (or a brain)
