Hold 'em

Just in case you've been living under a rock for the last few weeks or haven't been around your Xbox 360 since Wednesday morning this is your friendly reminder to log on to Xbox Live and get your copy of Texas Hold 'em for free as you have less than 24 hours. The card came is running a promotion whereas you can download the full version for 48 hours without having to pay the 800 Microsoft Points it would cost you if you wait until 0800 GMT (1:00 A.M. Pacific Standard Time) tonight or early tomorrow morning on Friday August 25th depending on the way you look at it.

The game is actually quite addicting even in the world we live in where anyone can play poker or hold em online or if your like me and live in Las Vegas, but there is something that is pretty fun about being able to kick back with 8 friends over Xbox Live and relax for a few hands or in my case since the release of the game several hours.

One of the funniest things that we have found in the game so far is the 4 of Diamonds, go ahead and check out the picture above and see if you can spot why the card is so special and I'll give you a hint, you're not looking for Waldo. The best thing about noticing that on the card is it took our good friend, guitar playa247, who is legally blind to point that out to all of us. So once again if you haven't done so already go ahead and pick up the Xbox Live Arcade title by downloading it over on the Marketplace before 1 A.M.

» still not worth it

I read a review on gamespot and they said this is a bare bones game that sucks and has idiotic a.i.

Yeah, but it's free, so stop complaining.

» It may be bare-bones

But as said above, it's free. It's your own damn fault for not downloading it if you pass it up for being such a simple game. At 26MB, what do you have to lose? Just play a few rounds, get an achievement or two, and leave it there for later.

The 4 of diamonds IS pretty silly. I wonder how long it takes for them to notice.

Stupid AI? I thought the big draw with this game would be to play against human opponents. THAT is fun :) Get some friends on your list ;)
