Kynapse Chosen As Sonic's Developer For X360 And PS3 |
Ó
Leading A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) middleware developer Kynogon has announced that Kynapse will be Sonic the Hedgehog's next-gen developer. In a press event held in Paris, Kynogon announced that their unique A.I. engine called Kynapse, has been licensed by Sega to develop their million-selling Sonic game for both the Xbox360 and PS3. This is a big thing for Kynogon as Sonic the Hedgehog remains as one of the most celebrated video game characters of all-time.
Pierre Pontevia, CEO for Kynogon, says that Sega sets the trend for game development by being one of the industry's leaders and that they are grateful for the recognition and opportunity that Sega has given them. Kynogon has proven their expertise in the industry, as their A.I. technology is already being used by EA, Atari, Real Time Worlds, Lionhead Studios, to name a few.
Through Kynapse, non player characters are enabled to move in 3D worlds, as well as understand the environment they're in, communicate and cooperate with other characters, etc. Kynogon will be facing a lot of pressure in developing the Sonic game as this is one of the most anticipated releases for the Xbox and PS3. We wish Kynogon tons of luck and hope that their expertise shines through in the game.
