Kinect officially priced at US$ 150

Microsoft has finally announced the official launch pricing for its upcoming motion-control peripheral, Kinect. Launching this Fall, you can grab the Kinect sensor bundled with Kinect Adventures for a suggested retail price of US$ 149.99. Along with the announcement, MS also confirmed that the shinny new Xbox 360 4GB console with 4GB of internal flash memory, built in Wi-Fi N and black matte finish will be priced at US$ 199.99 and will begin shipping on August 3rd.

On top of that, MS will also release a "Kinect Holiday Bundle" later this year that will include the new Xbox 360 4GB console, a wireless controller, the Kinect sensor and Kinect Adventures packaged together for US$ 299.99. Meanwhile, the Kinect first-party games like the Kinectimals, Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride will retail for US$ 49.99 and will be part of the fifteen Kinect games that will be available at launch.

Did you even read everything before posting your crap here? Or it is just too difficult for you to comprehend. The console comes 4GB of internal flash memory not flash drive so it is possible to buy a hard drive to add on the memory storage.Stupidest motion gaming peripheral? You must be confusing it with Move.

Im glad i sold my 360 it has nothing good going 4 it, at least i can play RE5 and Socom4 with the Move. good luck having fun with the kinect while looking like you are having a seizure. its called the eyetoy and it failed. its morons like you that are gonna go out and buy this same shit just cuz it has an xbox logo on it. Hell, i dont even like the move, but at least i can see when im getting ripped off.

Kinect is pretty stupid. But Xbox isn't. Neither is PS3. They're both amazing consoles. I don't understand why people have such dramatically varied and hateful opinions towards each. If you've experienced both consoles then it really doesn't seem like there should be so much hatred.

well i have a pc and a ps3 so i find the xbox pretty useless. I dont hate it, i just hate when microsoft rips people off...and they do that A LOT. Then they come out with stuff like this and say its a bargain so all the robots run out and buy it.

Ok lets talk about "same shits" Eyetoy is basically just a webcam. Kinect can uses full body tracking and voice recognition. Move is more like the same shit to me... I mean look at the controller, it looks and plays more like the wiimote but has 1:1 tracking ratio and better graphics. And no I don't buy stuff just because I have an xbox logo in it, I even have a lvl 11 ps3 account and you could see me posting on the ps3 gamesharing thread. I myself will not go buy kinect and move but dipshits like you who I always see bashing the 360 makes me want to go and defend it.

actually i was bashing kinect and microsoft for ripping off people, but then again i have a sense of honor. Why would you jump in to defend a rich ass company that steals from everyone and makes it look like its a good deal???
By the way, almost all the games they showed for kinekt so far arent too different from the shit that was on ps2, just slightly more next gen. like i said ive had a 360 and i find it useless.

wow, $199 for that sexy console? though it is garbage with 4 gigs it's gonna grab a lot of not so tech savvy moms and grandparents by surprise and the general not so hardcore audience. The wii's hd isn't anything special either, but it WILL sell which is all they care about.

A few posts up... I saw a comment about "not being able to bash Xbox without mentioning Playstation. Having bought a X360 and it giving me a red ring of death "2" days... thats right.. after buying it...and buying a PS3 at launch...ok, so 600 bucks was stupid... and it working just like the day I bought it with no glitches of anykind... I can see why there are some sentiments of anger. I regret selling Xbox after it coming back from MS's repair shop... but two weeks ago my friend said it compleletly gave up the ghost. Last night I play 2 1/2 hours of PS3... All I can say is I hope they improved the new Slim 360...and i might even buy one. But I do think its silly...the Kinect... although getting move and "Awesome" Sorcery next year.

This is such a ridiculous price! What the software is 2 bucks the stupid piece of plastic is 5 bucks but would sell for 2. The piece of crap game is 40 bucks where does the other amount of money come from. As stupid as the Xbox fanboys think Playstation move is, it has a good price. I am not buying either stupid motion crap. But I'd rather have the move.

Is it bad the only reason I want Kinect is so that I don't have to get off my ass to find the remote to watch Netflix?

I'll wait for the inevitable price drop before I grab it though. Maybe by then there will be a couple of decent games for it. I jumped on the HDDVD drive only for it to be $50 1 year later. I still think HDDVDs look better than BluRays, but oh well. Thats why I didn't "trade red for blu."
