It's very likely that Microsoft already had this planned all along, but it would also be sweet to think that all those Kinect-PC hacks has something to do with this new announcement from the company that brought us Kinect. Yes, they say, Kinect will indeed be coming over to the PC.
Microsoft big boss Steve Ballmer himself made the confirmation that they are, in fact, working on the development of a PC version for the Kinect. Speaking with BBC, Ballmer explained that they do intend to support the PC with Kinect all in due time, and that once they are ready, they will be making the official reveal.
Xbox 360 owners of the Kinect, in the meantime, can look forward to updates for it which will improve its efficiency. At the recent CES, Microsoft announced that a new update will be coming for the Avatar Control Panel.
PC gamers will definitely be looking out for that Kinect-connectivity. As we all would be too.
