Japanese XBLA getting SNK fighters |
Ó

While North American fight fans are still on edge about the Marvel vs Capcom 2 teasing from Capcom, the gamers in Japan are left with no doubt as to what fighting games SNK Playmore will be bringing to the Japanese XBLA.
First up is the critically-acclaimed Garou: Mark of the Wolves, which is scheduled for a release this year. Garou brings SNK's Fatal Fury series to a close and is generally considered as one of the best 2D fighters ever released for last generation's consoles.
SNK is also rolling out an XBLA version of King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match in 2010. This is the PS2 remake of the original King of Fighters 2002 and is a kind of "dream match" game with no connection to the series' overarching storyline.
Finally, there's also King of Fighters Sky Stage. It's not a fighting game (it's a shooting game with a KoF theme), but it's still an SNK XBLA game so I'm including it here. Release for this one has been set for 2009.
No word yet on whether or not these games will make it to the US, but keep your fingers crossed. Check back here for more updates.
