Japan Warming Up to the Xbox 360 Thanks to Rumble Roses XX

After what appeared to be an excruciatingly slow start, Microsoft's Xbox 360 sales gained momentum in the traditionally unfriendly (to American technology, that is) Japanese market. The next-gen console sold 3,258 units this week from around 1,000 units last week. Analysts credit the canvass catfighters of Rumble Roses XX (which debuted at #1 over there) for the growing interest in the Xbox 360. Who can blame them? Sweaty ladies in sexy outfits body slamming each other could melt the polar ice cap if they wanted to. Microsoft announced a renewed committment to the Xbox 360 platform this week with exclusive games and new offerings for the Xbox Live Arcade including a limited edition FIFA version of the Xbox 360 in Japan later this month.
