GoW Map Pack: looks like a Mako Reactor from FFVII, doesn't it? - Image 1

As part of the preview for the upcoming Gears of War "Hidden Front" Map Pack from Epic Games and Microsoft, we now bring you some screenshots for those four levels. Besides, you have the option of downloading this bundle for 800 MS Points as early as Thursday, May 3, 9 a.m. GMT, or you can wait until September when it'd be free. These screens couple help you with your decision.

Now would you just look at that? I wouldn't be surprised to find myself killed after 2.3675 seconds into the game, just because I'd stop and stare at the surroundings.

The above picture is of the Process map and from the looks of it, the FFVII geeks here in QJ are reminded of Mako Reactors. Wonder if we're going to bump into some Turks and cryogenically-freezed platinum-haired people in this level? Moving on... Let's now have a trek through the other Gears of War maps, and below we have - from left to right - Subway, Garden, and Bullet Marsh.

*UPDATE* Fished right out of the Lifestream YouTube, we found this video floating around. It seems to be some Xbox Live trailer for the downloadable content. Enjoy!

» Don't blame epic...

They've already said that it's MS forcing them to charge...as it makes other smaller companies look bad when they charge for content....but can't afford to give it out free....I understand.

So yeah, i'll buy it...they gave us more free content then any other 360 game, and just more content all around....

Would you rather them not put anything out and be stuck with the original maps ?

» Quit *****in'

Get over yourselves when the maps release you will buy them and you know it cut out the "tuff guy" act. Shatterdome hit it right on the head, they gave us two maps for free and 800 points for 4 maps is pretty good you think that by not buying the maps your are showing epic and microsoft who's boss? You're whiny little idiots plain and simple.

you know the more that gets spread around the more we're gonna have drm shoved down our throats.

Anyway I certainly wont get them until September. And as for that trailer anyone with more than 3 braincells can see that it's old footage, then the logo, then a slideshow of the exact same 4 images and the logo again. Hardly a trailer for the dlc.

800 pts for 4 maps is practically nothing. It's an awesome game, I'll definitely buy them when they're released.
