valhallaWhy will Tomonobu Itagaki's new game sell four million copies? Because it's a "super dreadnought class project", that's why.

That's how the Valhalla Game Studios website describes Itagaki's new project, anyway. There are still no concrete details on the game, but apparently it's "a big project for high definition game consoles." Just in case the super dreadnought thing didn't tip you off.

Elsewhere on the site, there's also an "Itagaki's Thought" section where the Valhalla head talks a bit about his new game.

"This is something in the future, but once our game is finished, give us 5 minutes of your time," Itagaki wrote. "Once you start, you can't let go of the controller. We are making that kind of game. We only think about this."

Valhalla is currently hiring people to fill out their studio.

That super dreadnought thing makes me think of that interview where Itagaki said he might do a WWII game set in space.

Each time Itagaki talks about his new game, it sounds like its going to pwn current games out there. It's about time he did something of his own rather than continuously doing Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. I just hope he isn't overhyping it, because that would be a disaster. (Haze)

Well, the Super Dreadnought class craft were the vessels you destroyed in the classic C64/Speccy game Uridium maybe, just maybe, this is a reimagining of that long since dead IP?
