It would be remembered that Microsoft dropped a bomb known as IPTV on 360 during last year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES). A couple of weeks later, the console maker announced that our European friends will have the opportunity to have a glimpse of the said technology fusion. Microsoft TV Worldwide Director of Marketing and Communications Ed Graczyk will demonstrate what happens when next-gen TV collides with the company's next-gen console. The showcase will be held at The Connected Home show in Olympia, London from March 5 to 6. Graczyk remarked,
Separately the Xbox 360 and Microsoft TV IPTV Edition deliver unique and exciting entertainment experiences. But IPTV on Xbox 360 delivers a real value proposition for consumers, service providers and content and game developers alike. By integrating these industry-leading solutions, we continue to drive innovation and enable new connected entertainment experiences for consumers.
Furthermore, the show will coincide with the third annual IPTV World Forum. IPTV on Xbox 360 is expected to become available as early as this year's Christmas season. Early corporate partners include AT&T, British Telecom, Deutsch Telecom, and Swiss Telecom.
