Introversion's Darwinia coming to Xbox Live Arcade?

German K-videogames tried hitting Introversion Software's Mark Morris (you know, "next-gen graphics aren't enough") with questions surrounding rumors that their second PC title, Darwinia, would hit Xbox Live Arcade. Mark answered evasively, saying that Darwinia would fit well in XBLA but giving little else to confirm or deny.

Before we continue, some of you Xbox players might be already asking the three W's: (1) WTF is Darwinia, (2) WTF is Introversion, and (3) WTH should I care? Well, it's time to go to school, children, and learn about the wider world of gaming beyond multi-cores and controller pads:

Darwinia can be best described (as it is in Wiki) as a "Digital Jurassic Park." Combining puzzles, strategy, hacker, stealth-shooter, and God-sim gameplay, you must eradicate a viral program running amok in a "digital theme world" by commanding program "units" in that game world.
Introversion is well known by its tagline: "last of the bedroom programmers." They specialize in fun games which can run off a Pentium III without overheating it. In fact, within hours of launching their first game, Uplink, they fully made their investment back - somehow, we don't see the big boys beating this record anytime soon.

We suggest you read up on an overview of their third game, DEFCON: Everybody Dies, found here in QJ. In fact, some of us wished that that was the game rumored to come on Xbox Live (or PSN, or Virtual Console). After all, there is no greater fun than mass nuclear slaughter (did we just say that?!).

Because in the clamor for innovative games that do not bust your budget, in an age of high-def and multi-core, it's too easy to overlook little gems like these, perfectly suited for the environments of XBLA and PSN. Heck, here's a strategy game that could run off a console - and it's not even boxed retail!

Only US$ 19.50 for download for the PC version, and only 30MB of disk space, well within current XBLA limits - what more can XBLA ask for?

Now, if after all that, you have become interested in seeing Darwinia on XBLA, let's get back to the story. Web-translating K-videogames results in something confusing, but what we could make out of the mixed Engrish is Mark Morris hinting that he could always "introduce himself to (cooperating with) a large company..." Is he hinting at a partnership with Microsoft or with another big-name publisher to bring the game to console digital distribution?

Or do we need to ask a professional German translator to try and translate the source link below? Argh, the lengths we go to to wish that some games would come to XBLA...
