Import Tuner Challenge: Info, Screens and Movies |
Ó

Import Tuner Challenge may not sound all that exciting as a game's title, but wasabi also looks so darn harmless on a plate. The game goes beyond just picking a car and racing through Tokyo's underground racing scene. Players can modify and race licensed import sports cars using real tuner parts and tuning techniques. More than five million combinations are possible in tailoring a carÂ’s interior, exterior and engine. Tuning your car right is extremely important since you're going to go up against the fastest street-racing teams imaginable.

The five million customizations are made possible by selecting from a vast warehouse of specialized parts to customize a carÂ’s interior, exterior and engine. Players can fine tune the parts of their cars to suit a specific race against 400 unique opponents, each with varying degrees of strengths and weaknesses around real Tokyo highways and regions. You can test your masterpiece versus other players through Xbox Live's online gaming service.

“Import Tuner Challenge brings unprecedented car customisation and speed to the racing genre,” said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “The game offers more tuning possibilities than any other street-racing game to date on Xbox 360 and will submerge players into Tokyo’s thrilling underground.”

Import Tuner Challenge is being developed by Genki of Japan and is scheduled to ship in Europe in Autumn 2006.

looks kinda cool, if ya ask me.
Its nice to say that the game has 5 thousand customizations, but I hope that each of the parts has a unique stat to them. So many racing games that have customizing limit you to what you can actually have on your car beacause everyone and their mothers has the top of the line mods for their cars. So in essence you have 5 thousand mods but you can only utilize 10 of them since its the only way to keep up when racing.
Oh joy lets trick out awesome Honda's and shiat instead of actual good cars!!11 Spoilers and CAI's make cars T3H FAST!!1
Freakin' ricers ....
is this Shutokou Battle X?
Doesn't look that much better than Xbox games. Ain't worth coughing over $499 for a system that barely have better graphics than the Xbox.
This is Tokyo Extreme Racer, Which is Shutokou Battle X in japan, seems their trying to jumping on the american "west coast customs" car pimping band wagon! I'm still gonna buy it!
